Project Status

In June 2007 a new committee was formed to focus on the completion of the pathway along four city blocks and to evaluate other features of the pathway.

Phase II of the LAMP project is underway.  New development is managed by the City of Baker City with the assistance of LAMP, Inc., a local non-profit corporation.  There is a Citizen Advisory Committee overseeing the design of the pathway and its connection to a centrally located park that will be developed.  Citizens and government working together to raise grant money, acquire right-of-way, develop plans and complete construction; this is a terrific example of a public/private partnership that benefits the entire community.
